Your Osteopath:My name is Kevin Nolan, I qualified with a Bsc honours degree in osteopathy from the London School of Osteopathy. I have a specific interest in all areas of structural osteopathy, particularly the biomechanics of the feet and how they impact upon postural dysfunction leading, for example, to back pain.
From the age of thirteen I have been involved in the Chinese martial arts. This introduced me to eastern medical philosophies, particularly holism, as well as giving me a good grounding in exercise and injury principles. As with many osteopaths, my own introduction to osteopathy came through being treated, when I found the principles used remarkably similar to my own views on health.
In addition to, and to supplement, my martial arts training I have been a keen runner and have trained extensively with weights, giving me a good insight into sports and training related injuries. I also find this experience extremely useful when rehabilitating patients post injury.
